7th IUHPE European Conference

7th IUHPE European Conference on Health Promotion and Health Education Globalization and Equity: Consequences for Health Promotion Policies and Practices to be held in Budapest, Hungary, 18-21 October 2006.

The conference is organised by the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE/EURO) in cooperation with the Hungarian National Institute for Health Development (NIHD) and the School of Public Health of the University of Debrecen, with the support of the Ministry of Health, and the Office of the Government Commissioner for Public Health Coordination.

As the 7th in the IUHPE/EURO's series of European Health Promotion and Health Education conferences, it will build upon the progress made at the six previous IUHPE European conferences. 

This conference will focus on different aspects of globalization and of inequalities in health. A major goal of the conference is to provide a platform for review, analysis and discussion of tackling health inequalities at the global and community levels to key players in health promotion and health education from across Europe. Over the course of four days, participants and attendees will have the chance to share information about health promotion policy issues, on-going research, existing evidence and practical experience. www.equityinhealth2006.hu
