Workshop "Health Policies for SMEs" Workplace Health Promotion in candidate countries to European Union and member countries of the European Union 

On 2nd and 3rd of July there will be organised in Sibiu the Seminar "Health Policies for SME" Workplace Health Promotion in candidate countries to European Union and member countries of the European Union?.
This seminar, organised with the financial of the European Commission / DG Enlargement, brings together participants from Institutes of Public Health (Bucuresti, Cluj, Timisoara), Public Health Directorates - Departments of Occupational Health or Health Promotion (Sibiu, Buzau, Maramures, Braila, Dambovita, Cluj, Brasov, Constanta, Suceava, Iasi, Timisoara, Arad), Labor Inspection, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour, National Institute of Research and Development in Safety, as well as enterprises members of the Romanian Network of Workplace Health Promotion.
There will be also present some of our colleagues, members of the European Network of Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP) and these are Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania, as well as the representative of the European Commission, who coordinates the WHP activities at European level.
The workshop is formally launching the Romanian Forum for Workplace Health Promotion and also would like to initiate the creation of a large platform of specialists (Public Health, Health Promotion and Occupational Health specialists, as well as psychologists, engineers, experts in environment and quality management systems, managers, etc) who will elaborate Health Policies for workplaces and especially for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises.
This meeting continues the activities and initiatives related to workplaces, that Romtens Foundation has organised and which, during 2003, made possible the creation of the ?Romanian Network of Workplace Health Promotion?.
The Agenda of the Workshop includes three Sessions, over 2 days, during of which there will be presented both Romanian experience in the Workplace Health Promotion field and the most relevant experiences from the already mentioned countries.
In the first day of the workshop, beginning with 13.00, a press conference will be organised in Ioan Andreescu Hall of Continental Hotel ; a Press Release will be forwarded to the masss media representatives before the start of the press conference.
